Herbert may look a tad overwhelmed, but that's only because he keeps getting his horns stuck in the fence. No matter what he does, he just can't seem to avoid sticking his head between the wire. He's tried everything from motivating self talk ("You can do this, Herbert") to positive reinforcement ("If you don't stick your head through the fence, you can eat five extra mouthfuls of corn), punishment ("If you stick your head through the fence, you have to run two laps around the pasture). But it doesn't matter what he does. The grass on the other side of the fence taunts him with its juicy, green stalks, and he eventually ends up reaching for a nibble - which always results in his continual bleating until his farmer comes to untangle his horns.

When he's not stuck in a fence-related incident, Herbert loves to serve beverages. He is made from cone 10 stoneware, so he's very durable and is even microwave and dishwasher safe (with care). He is an Ug-Chug Mug, so he's stamped with the Ug-Chug and logo and his year.
