Chewy McChompem (he goes by Chewy for short) has one main passion - gum-chewing. (He figured he'd rather use his mouthful of pointy teeth for something other than intimidating his foes.) Chewy has made it his mission to try as many gum flavors as possible (although, he will admit that the wasabi flavor hurt him a little and the hamburger variety wasn't exactly pleasant. Nevertheless, Chewy keeps on chewing. He's even perfected the art of bubble-blowing (although he's had a few mishaps with his horn, which resulted in a long afternoon of gum detachment).

Chewy also loves serving up delicious foods like soups, stews, chilis, and even ice cream! He was first thrown on the pottery wheel and his eyes and features were made and added by hand. He's made from cone 10 stoneware, so he's very durable and is even safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher (with care).

Chewy is an Ug-Chug Mug, so he's stamped with the Ug-Chug logo and his year. He is ready to ship and is carefully packaged in a gift box with tissue paper and shipped in a larger, sturdy shipping box, so he's very easy to give as a gift.
